Effortless sophisticated clothes

One of my intentions for this year is to buy fewer clothes and to concentrate on better quality fabrics. While having an annual wardrobe cull and at the same time analysing the garments that have lasted the course of time and yielded the most value on a cost per wear basis it has undoubtedly revealed that investing in better quality fabrics and giving them TLC has paid dividends. So with this in mind I have been researching brands that conform to this criteria and are also suitable for a wide age range including those of us who are no longer in our first flush of youth.

To this effect I thought I would do some investigation and consider that  LUCZA, a brand founded by Karen Scofield-Seal shares a similar philosophy.  Her objective is to deliver high quality understated and elegant clothing in sumptuous fabrics such as silk crepe, textured linen blends and stretch cotton.

I thought I would have a play around with the Diane jacket. The simple collarless design, in a textured linen blend has a Parisian feel and can easily be worn over a dress or teamed with skirt or trousers.
