Easter in the South of France

The “météo” report. At last a few rays of sunshine interspersed with showers.  The wind is still a little chilly but a million times warmer that Paris or London.

The Easter holidays are not as long here as in the UK. Good Friday is a normal working day and many of the shops are opening Easter Monday. The reason for this may be due to the tough economic conditions or just because the weather has been bad here and the season has got off to a slow start and shopkeepers want to maximise every available opportunity.

However the French make up for the shorter holiday with an abundance of delicious chocolate beautifully packaged in that uniquely elegant French way.

Our local village patisserie – I could not resist buying a couple

Lunch on the beach
We just went for a walk on the beach. Wrapped up against the wind in scarf and puffa jacket

The red beret came in very useful as you will see later
Have a wonderful Easter  or Joyeuses Pàques where ever you are.

PS. Pictures of Paris are in production. Coming next week.
