Capsule wardrobe for visit to Wales

Capsule wardrobe for visit to Wales

Wow, this is going to be a quick turnaround. One minute I am in the South of France and the next we are going to stay with friends in the Welsh valleys. This calls for extreme wardrobe flexibility as it is currently very cold and wet here in the UK and looks like next week is going to be more of the same. I can’t believe that I am going to need my thermals again.

I have put together what I consider to be some basic essentials that I will need for my trip.

Details of above: Landsend blue raincoat //  White tee shirt // straw hat // grey puffa waistcoat // Navy cotton stretch trousers // navy sweater // mid wellington boots //  Burgundy satchel.

This is what I will be packing. I have added a dress and some silver shoes (US link) as we will be going to a posh restaurant on the second evening. I have also added my pink poncho from WinserLondon and a pink scarf which I intend to wear with my Navy cotton stretch trousers for drinks and dinner in the local pub. I have added my polka dot top just in case the weather gets warmer.

My friend and I plan to go for some long healthy bracing walks while our menfolk attempt to catch a fish or two for our dinner! I am sure my midi wellingtons will be essential for walking in the muddy fields and my Uniqlo vest, which works with everything, will add an extra layer of warmth. I have added a straw hat just in case the sun decides to shine!

Believe it or not, it’s sunny in west Wales at the moment!

Thanks for letting me know. Maybe I won’t need to pack my heavy duty Mac. It is pouring here in London. Still better to be on the save side.

The sun is definitely going to shine in Wales next week so you might need these also.
    Really enjoy reading your blog.
