Sales

My ideas from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale.

My ideas from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. I am now back in London. The temperature is cooler and it is currently raining. So I have spent the morning perusing the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and getting my eye in for the colours and shapes on offer for the coming autumn. Somehow this is not a task I could have performed in temperatures of nearly 38 degrees (late 90 Fahrenheit).

Leopard print continues to be popular along with mid tone blues and of course the neutrals, black, beige and grey.

Blue scarf // Blue/turquoise earrings // Multi gold/silver bracelet // Black coat // Taupe saddle bag  // Pink carry-on travel case // Leopard boots // black NYDJ trousers.

There are also some lovely rich russet tones both for coats and accessories. It is a colour that combines well with black or navy.

Russet coat // Rose gold earrings // Taupe sweater // Gold circle pendant // Black straight trousers // Black riding boots // Leopard clutch //Russet/black holdall.

I have also updated my Nordstrom Anniversary shop where you will find a wide selection of clothes and accessories.

I have my best friend coming over from South Africa to stay for a few days and want to spend some quality time with her so I will be back here as soon as possible.

Chicatanyage

I write a fashion and beauty blog for women over 50 with the aim of inspiring mature women to continue to enjoy and have fun with their fashion choices. I have spent most of my working life in some way connected to fashion. I started my career in Fashion PR and then trained as an Image Consultant when my children were young. I subsequently worked in the corporate world running seminars, doing private coaching and speaking at conferences. I started my blog in 2009 as I wanted to share my years of experience working in the world of fashion. I truly believe we can continue to have confidence in the way we present ourselves. Our style may evolve with time and changing lifestyles, yet with a little knowledge and inspiration, we can all continue to have fun with fashion. As women of a certain age we are a growing demographic let us prove that we can also be a chic one.

  • Funny....I've had my eye on that russet coat and the bag for a few days! Might have to order. That weight coat is perfect for my climate!

  • Thanks for a reminder that I have a blue scarf and earrings that need to get a day on the outfit planner!-Laurel

  • Thank you for the Nordstrom link, Josephine. I was in Florida in May and picked up a fabulous Eileen Fisher grey linen coat, it was greatly reduced and I wore it to a wedding last week over my Bombshell dress, it was drizzly and chilly. I've just bought a EF linen jacket from the site too. You're leading me into bad ways. :o) Have a lovely few days with your friend. Sue X

    • Glad that you found some pieces that you like. I know it is very tempting but if you buy carefully investment items it should pay off in the long term. If I have time this week I am going to visit the Eileen Fisher shop in the Kings Road to check out colours and sizes etc.

  • This is not exactly a comment relating fashionwear... I'm hoping that your property in St Tropez is safe from the fires that a raging in that area at the moment. Very scary. My partner and I are booked on a Avalon Waterways cruise (Paris to Nice) in September so you are in our thoughts!
