Ethnic bracelets make chic holiday accessories

Ethnic bracelets make chic holiday accessories. Ever since Brigitte Bardot appeared on the scene in the 1950’s St. Tropez has been known as a chic and hippie village on the Cote D’Azur.

Et Dieu… créa la femme was filmed there in 1956. Briditte subsequently bought her house “La Madrague sur la route des Canebiers à Saint-Tropez en 1958.” Thus she contributed to making this little known village an international legend.

Middle row: Double wrap leather stud // multi strand red/bronze // Mahala set of 5
Bottom row: gold/bead bracelet // Beads & tassels set of 7 // semi precious stone beaded black/gold

When I am here in France I love to visit the market in St. Tropez April 2017 and January 2017 It is a treasure trove of hippie scarves, kaftans and ………..

quirky ethnic jewellery.

Ethnic Bracelets:

I particularly like hunting for bracelets. The kind where more is more and you pile them onto your wrists. They are brightly coloured, often made of fabric, leather, string and adorned with pearls and coloured jewels. They have an ethnic vibe. You can imagine the young women over 50 years ago strolling down the beach in their bikinis and ethnic bracelets!

I can’t wait till our local village market this week and the larger St. Tropez market (held every Tuesday and Saturday mornings) to go hunting for some new ethnic bracelets to add to my growing collection. I will report back.

If you are not able to visit a French brocante in the near future I found some great examples of ethnic bracelets at Nordstrom and Etsy and Net-a-Porter

Here are my choices:

Love love any and all of these fun bracelets! And the hunt for them at a market is more than half the fun. Please do report back! I’m sure you’re enjoying the holiday…

Egads! Yes we do need to be thinking about holidays already. Christmas in July idea. Actually, we are booking our last start dates for holiday deadline projects this month so I should not be surprised. It will be more fun to look for braclets I agree!-Laurel

WHAT A WAY TO SPEND YOUR SUMMER……….HUNTING AND SUN and people watching!!!!

      Hi Contessa
Not sure about the capital letters. Is it a form of internet shouting? It is quite useful at the moment as I have an eye infection and can’t wear my contact lenses (without which the world is very blurry). Anyway Nordstrom is based in the States and always has been. They do offer a very efficient international service with duty and postage paid up front. 79% of my readers are global with 56% in the USA.
Yes I love to spend my summers people watching and exploring the local markets. It helps if the sun is shining.

I was in LONDON in MAY and LOVED IT!!!!!

        • 12th July 2017 / 08:13

          Hi La Contessa
Thanks for explaining the capitals. I have visited you blog and now understand. Also thank you for taking the time to comment on mine. I always appreciate feedback and comments. Not sure Vicki and I intend to push Nordstrom products. I had coffee with Vicki about a year ago and she has a very global readership (many in Australia) and she finds Nordstrom the best store to accommodate her varied readership. I do like the Brands Nordstrom stock and when I do an outfit post my intention is to inspire my readers to maybe think outside the box and try a new look or a new way of combining items in their wardrobe. Thus I like to offer my USA readers similar items (although most of the UK brands I use do ship Internationally) to the ones I am wearing so that they have a wider choice.
If you visit London again do contact me it would be lovely to meet up.
This seems to work however I would welcome any other thoughts or suggestions from my faithful readers so do join the conversation.

I love to hear from you please leave a comment
