Pointy toe flat shoes

Pointy toe flat shoes for Spring

I am so glad that pointy toe flat shoes are back in fashion for Spring. My feet never looked very good in the round toe bally flats that have been so popular for the last few seasons. The reason for this is at 5’7″ and size 37 feet round toed shoes just look silly. They shorten my feet and can give the impression that I am about to topple over. Not a good look.

Pointy toe flat shoes for Spring

I can’t wait for Spring to arrive so that I can shed the boots I have been wearing for the last six months. I will feel like a snake shedding its skin to reveal a brand new appearance.

I have just ordered the white sling back shoes from Marks&Spencer. 20% discount but hurry sizes are selling out fast.

What do you think. Do you have a preference for round toed or pointy toed styles and if so why?

I wear both. Some days When I want to bring out my inner Bardot, wherever she may be, I slip on a pair of Repettos. Other days when I want my foot to look narrower I’ll wear my fave Via Spiga pointy toed flats. It’s all in the mood and what works with what I’m wearing!

I used to wear my bally flats round the house but they don’t have sufficient support for “rolling over” arches.

I like both. I prefer the pointy toe option, because it makes me feel taller (!) but they have to be wide enough in the toes to house my wide toes comfortably!

I noticed while I was on the M&S site that they do some similar styles in wider fittings.

I too love the pointy toe flats, but I also have wide feet, and just cannot wear most of these shoes as they cut right across my (not huge) bunions. I have been looking for some that curve around the top of them and that are not too low cut. Anybody have any recommendations? I live in the States. Thanks ladies!

      Hi Malone
Marks&spencer in the states do have some wide fitting shoes that might work Nordstrom also have a special section with wide fitting shoes.

I like pointy toe shoes as they suit my narrow feet so much better than ballet flats that are impossible on my feet.

Never pointed shoes for my size 41 feet. But I like them on someone else…

      Hi Josephine
My daughter has size 41 and like you doesn’t wear pointy shoes.

I actually have loved all the round toe ballet flats! They suit me just fine. Daughter and I were shoe shopping a week ago at Nordtrom and were surprised/amazed at all the pointy toes. Guess we didn’t quite realize it was such a fashion statement! I don’t know….some I like, others would be impossible for me to wear. We will see as the season progresses..

I’m 5’6″ with 6.5 (American) feet and like you, much prefer the pointed toes! I have a great pair of M.Gemi black suedes that are flattering and go with everything.

I like both but think pointy toe look more elegant and round toe look more casual. I don’t wear heels so this gives me an option for a dressier shoe. I’m 5’8″ and wear size 40, but I think the pointy toe balances thing out.
Love all your picks! I just bought a cute pair of black and white wide striped Kate Spade pointy toe flats and am looking forward to wearing them this spring. J. Crew makes a very comfortable pointy toe flat as well.

      Hi Nola
Your stripe shoes sound great. I am not familiar with the J.Crew shoes I will check them out.
