How to adapt a classic blazer

How to adapt a classic blazer

I love my navy Theory blazer. It is classic and a real workhouse. I bought it about three years ago and cost per wear it has been phenomenal. It works for summer and winter. This year I have been wearing it for day and evening. During the day I wear it with my MarksandSpencer Velvet trousers and cream turtle neck sweater, a few years old similar . Broach a gift selection of broaches.

Then with a quick change I remove the sweater and replace it with a cream silky top and statement necklace from St. Tropez market similar at John Lewis  and Nordstrom and I am ready for the evening.

My first time at your blog — your hair is lovely and your blazer and velvet trousers look so smart. Love the pop of colour from the brooch.

    Hello Josephine.

Firstly, I’ve been meaning to tell you that your recently restyled hairstyle really suits you. Subtle change but very flattering. Secondly, I love this look on you. I’ll have to dig out my navy blazers and accessories to see if I can put something similar together. I think I’ve got some Laura Ashley wide velvet trousers somewhere too.

Many thanks for all the ideas. Keep them coming.

    Best wishes.

The necklace is stunning and looks beautiful with the blouse and your hair!

Wow, what an absolutely stunning photo! The blazer, brooch, jumper and fabulous haircut all work so well together. Sadly, I am short and always feel too masculine in a blazer.

Great looking jacket! A good jacket is such an indispensable wardrobe item. I’m finding ways to re-work my “office” jackets into my new work-from-home life.

Ditto to the previous compliments. You look lovely. Do you order from Nordstrom in the U.S. or do you have a secret source in the UK/Europe?

      Hi Jeanne
I find it more cost effective to order from Nordstrom (they take care of the duty up front) I have tried Eileen Fischer in the UK and J.Crew as they both have shops. Useful for trying on sizes but much more expensive in London. Although I did buy my J.Crew green parka in the London shop, I just feel in love with it and wanted it there and then.

I love to hear from you please leave a comment
