I just fell in love with this photograph from my favourite French magazine “La Femme Majuscule”. I thought I would have some fun and re-create a similar look. So I dug out my pink jacket with lace insets. I have worn it on several occasions since I bought it to wear at my son’s wedding three years ago.

COPY THE LOOK:

I am wearing my coat with straight white jeans similar USA & UK plus a pair of trainers for a more casual look. I previously wore this coat for a summer trip to the theatre in London. On that occasion, I teamed it with a pair of black trousers, black top and black sandals. Once I have made an investment purchase I believe in getting as much wear as possible from the piece by mixing it with other items in my wardrobe.

My coat is by PauleKa. A selection of her designs are available at Harvey Nichols They are excellent for weddings and special occasions.

This white eyelet top is the nearest I could find in my wardrobe to the lacy top worn by the chic French woman. Top by WinserLondon.

My rose gold jewellery completes the look. I love rose gold and the combination of rose gold and pearls is a winner in my opinion. The above hoops are from my favourite jewellery brand Claudia Bradby. They design modern delicate jewellery and specialise in peals at reasonable prices. Pearls that are designed to be worn on a daily basis. My duo pearl earrings are among my favourites (seen here). Earrings above seem to be sold out similar. PS. I am off to York later today to spend time with friends. I have prepared a couple of posts to entertain you this week.

What particularly stands out to me is how gorgeous you look with the pink lipstick. What brand/shade is it?

Hi Linda My pink lipstick is from “look fabulous forever” pink pop. I will be doing a video with this brand on 8th September so watch this space.

I have to say that I love your “recreated” look even better than the original, particularly that great 3/4 coat — so versatile. Jewelry is terrific, too, and the pink lipstick works so beautifully w/your coloring. Wonderful photos.

Thanks, La Contessa. Yes, I do prefer the longer length jacket and not sure pattern trousers are my thing.
