Dressing up jeans for spring

Dressing up jeans for summer

In this post I am covering three subjects. Firstly I have based both outfits on how to dress up jeans. I have not been wearing my tried and trusted jeans for many months. I seem to have neglected them recently and left them languishing at the back of my wardrobe. I decided to get them out of moth balls and see if I could dress them up for Spring and fall in love with them again.

Blue bag  // Boot cut jeans  // Navy block heel pumps

SHOWN ABOVE

White linen top  // Silk scarf // Navy jacket unfortunately sold out (similar)
// Pink bag  // Straw fedora hat  // M&S Straight leg jeans (US link)
M&S Block heel mule shoes (US selection) // Bead collar necklace

Secondly I have chosen two outfits that would work well for a Spring break. Most of the pieces would be suitable for travelling and could then be used as part of a holiday capsule. I have chosen a colour combination of navy and white. Always in my opinion a fresh combination for Spring.

Thirdly I have been feeling that I have got stuck in a rut with the choice of brands that I like. As you may have noticed from recent posts I have been branching out and testing brands such as Topshop and Mango.

The other morning I met a friend for coffee and we had a browse around the Kings Road. We checked out Trilogy (they do ship internationally) and was very pleased to find that they stock Helene Berman coats and jackets. I have always liked the cut of the Helene Berman jackets. They are well made and the shape has always suited me. They also stock some lovely silk tops. Several styles are on my wish list. I tried on the jeans that I have featured above. They were very flattering and comfortable. Unfortunately sold out in my size.

Check out East they also have some great summer jackets and tops for holidays and special summer occasions.

Both looks very simple to copy! Love the first one for its neutral update, as well as for this cool grey coat, while the second look is ideal for casual walks around town.

I like the way you combined these looks! The flared black jeans look pretty chic with a simple white blouse and collarless grey coat. The straight dark blue jeans look pretty awesome with a white tunic shirt and collarless short-sleeve jacket. Perfect combination!
